Location Updates

09/29/23 - Made a quick stop off today and noticed that the address numbers were up above our door.  They have it listed as suite A but it should be suite B.  Will talk to the contractor about getting it corrected.  The building permits were posted in the window and stamped plans were just inside the front door.  

I noticed more electrical and plumbing work being done.  Just a lot of little things.  Making progress though.  One thing I saw was that they put reinforced backing where the signs, televisions and shelving will go.  Meeting with the contractor next week and will hopefully be getting an update on an opening timeline.  I am suspecting we are going to be looking at November or maybe early December.  Stay tuned..

09/22/23 - Visually there was not a whole lot happening this week.  Work is being done though.  Was in on Wednesday and two electricians were working on removing the wiring from the old lights and connecting the new ones.  They also installed the metal conduit for the electrical breaker box.  This runs up and over through the wall into the adjacent space.  

The plumbers must have been back in as well.  I did see some changes in the bathrooms and the kitchen area where the water will come through.  Hopefully we will see something a little more exciting happening this next week.  Stay tuned..

09/15/23 - The plumbers were back in this week to wrap up the work on the drains.  The mounds of dirt are now gone and all the trenches got filled back in.  Flooring crew was able to pour the concrete.  Not sure how soon the finishing work will take place.  Stay tuned on that..

09/08/23 - Two days since our last site visit and more progress has been made.  Makes us feel pretty good about what they have accomplished in a short holiday week. Hopefully they can keep this pace.  

The electricians removed most of the old 2'x4' fluorescent light fixtures and started installing our 2'x2' LED dimmable panel lights.  They also brought in our emergency flood lights and exit light signage.

The big bundles of insulation is noise reducing and will be used in all the interior rooms and along the demising wall.  This should help keep the pinball arcade sounds within our walls.  Keeping the peace with our neighbors while maintaining the classic arcade ambiance for our guests is priority one!

09/06/23 - Well, things have really picked up speed since last Friday.  They got quite a bit of the sheetrock up and now have us closed off from the adjacent space.  

We met with our contractor today along with the electrical subs.  Wanted to make sure we were on the same page with them on where several of the key outlets would go for the interior signs, tv's, etc.  The estimate we received on the remaining construction was about 60 days. Could be sooner and hopefully not later.  Though not ideal, this would put us into the holiday season for our grand opening. You will not be disappointed!  It's going to be worth the wait!

Stay tuned for more frequent updates.  They should be working in there every day, now that nothing is holding them back. That's all for now..

09/01/23 - After much anticipation, our building permits have been issued!  We expect work to commence next week after the holiday weekend.  Building materials have been delivered and it looks like the grease trap was finished being installed.

We meet with our contractor next week to go over where we are at currently and what kind of timeline we are looking at for an opening date. Stay tuned!

08/18/23 - Can't wait to serve our guests tasty beverages on these bad boys!  Huge thanks to Hannah Paul for making these happen.  They turned out great!

08/16/23 - Been doing some work behind the scenes and wanted to share an image of what our high score board will look like.  A huge shout out and thank you to Daniel Reynolds for building this.  This is side scrolling and will receive updates in real time pending admin approval.  We will have this showing on a 65" television hanging on the wall near the lounge area and bar.  When you achieve a high score, use the camera on your phone to scan the QR code that will take you to that game's high score input screen.  You will then enter your name, score and image of the actual high score on the machine and hit submit. Once the admin verifies the high score is valid it will be posted and show up on the board.

We will also have our website link to the high score board so you can tune in and check out the latest scores wherever and whenever you want.

08/12/23 - Not much to report on these last couple of weeks.  I think they have completed as much work as possible before permits are issued.  We recently started receiving some mail at the shop.  It was just shoved through the small gap between the doors.  That's not really a good option.  So, we finally got around to getting our mailbox installed.  At least now we don't have to worry about our bills and fan mail getting all mangled.

Still a lot of work is going on behind the scenes in preparation to get this place open. Once construction commences things should move pretty quickly.  At this point we will more than likely be pushing our opening into the fall.  Stay tuned on that..
